3 Americans Killed in Syria: What Really Happened
Breaking news out of Syria: two U.S. soldiers and an American civilian interpreter have been killed, and three more service members wounded, in an ISIS ambush near Palmyra in central Syria.
According to U.S. Central Command, a lone gunman opened fire on a joint U.S.–Syrian patrol before being killed by partner forces. This is the first deadly attack on U.S. personnel in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime and the rise of the new president, Ahmed al-Sharaa.
