Every codebase contains valuable information hidden in its structure, types, and dependencies. This talk explores practical approaches to extracting and utilizing this information from Haskell codebases. We'll demonstrate a suite of tools we've developed that treat code as a queryable data source: fdep for mapping function relationships, fieldInspector for understanding type usage, coresyn2chart for path analysis, CADA for change impact detection, and chopper for codebase analysis. Through real-world examples, we'll show how these insights enable better development decisions and code understanding.
