A quick look at Windows Longhorn (Vista) build 5000*
*The latest available compile from September 2nd, 2004.
With pre-reset Longhorn having failed, Microsoft reset its development. The 5000 builds from the vbl_core lab are among the earliest builds based on the post-reset codebase, and in this video we take a look at the latest available one.
It is an early build, so there are only a few differences to XP to take a look at. Among these is some placeholder branding, a Longhorn Help Place button in Help & Support and early support for MUI (Multilingual User Interface).
