Installing and configuring Pi-Hole on a QNAP NAS. In the previous video, we saw the advantages of having a DNS server that supports blacklists to block ads and avoid websites with malware.
Using QNAP Container Station, we're going to install Pi-Hole in a container on the NAS. Containers are like small applications that contain the necessary parts of an operating system to offer a service. It's called lightweight virtualization because it doesn't require a full operating system to function.
I'm assuming you already have Container Station installed on the NAS. You'll see how simple it is, and in a matter of minutes, we'll have our Pi-Hole running and configured.
