during the holiday season at a ski resort owned and operated by a Native American Nation. The film won critical praise at the Sundance Film Festival, and was shot on location at the Sundance Resort in Utah.
CHRISTMAS IN THE CLOUDS was the first contemporary romantic comedy to feature an almost entirely American Indian cast, including Timothy Vahle (Walking Tall: Lone Justice), M. Emmet Walsh (Racing Stripes), Mariana Tosca (Equine Destiny), Sam Vlahos (American History X), Sheila Tousey (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Graham Greene (Twilight: New Moon, Dances with Wolves), Wes Studi (Avatar), and Rita Coolidge (Changing Hearts, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid).
The film was written, directed, and produced by Kate Montgomery (Ever Since the World Ended), Mitchell Stein (Dream with the Fishes) and Sarah Wasserman (Spy School) also producing.
