For disable any service we can use following command-

sudo systemctl disable

Fine-Tune System Settings: Tuning the system settings will enable us to customize the performance of our system for our special needs and tasks. Adjusting these settings such as swappiness, virtual memory, and CPU/power configurations can enhance our system responsiveness and efficiency particularly when we are performing resource-intensive tasks.

Following are commands which we can use to check current swappiness of our system and also we can modify it to optimise our system performance.

cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness

In our case swappiness is 60. We can reduce it to make our system much more more efficient using following command.

sudo sysctl vm.swappiness=50

For making swappiness permanent we can use following command so it will make permanent for all our tasks.

echo 'vm.swappiness=50' | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf

Now if will again check our swappiness we can see its now changed.

cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness

Conclusion

Nowdays everyone who are using kali linux whether you’re a professional security tester or an enthusiastic cyber security learner maintenance of kali linux ensures that our machine runs most effectively then only our efficient and effective work becomes possible. We should always remember a well-maintained system not only improves its performance but also makes our experience better and more productive. As you run all avobe mentioned commands you will find your kali linux operating system become more faster than previous and now you can run your task much effectively than previous because you have much space as compare to previous.
