夢の中で再び雪臣を抱きしめた蒼牙は、目覚めると揺れる想いを必死に隠そうとする。
その頃、雪臣は密かに藤原家の旧勢力を集め始めていた。そして若葉の調べにより、蒼牙が橘兼成と繋がる「夜鴉衆」の一員である可能性を知る。
さらに、夜鴉衆が毒によって配下を支配していると聞いた雪臣は、父から受け継いだ秘薬を使い、蒼牙が毒に侵されているのかを確かめようとする。
しかし薬に触れた直後、蒼牙は力を失い、雪臣の腕の中へ倒れ込んでしまう。
それでも真実を隠し続ける蒼牙に、雪臣は初めて強い不安と怒りを見せる。
そして彼を守るため、蒼牙を部屋から一歩も出さず、夜鴉衆との接触を完全に断つことを決める。

Meanwhile, Yukiomi secretly begins gathering the remaining forces loyal to the Fujiwara family. Through Wakaba’s investigation, he learns that Soya may be connected to the Yagarasu, a shadow organization closely tied to Tachibana Kanenari.
After hearing that the Yagarasu controls its members through poison, Yukiomi decides to test Soya with a secret medicine inherited from his father.
The moment the medicine takes effect, Soya suddenly loses his strength and collapses into Yukiomi’s arms.
Even then, Soya refuses to admit the truth.
Unable to hide his concern any longer, Yukiomi’s worry turns into anger. Determined to protect him, he orders Soya confined to his room and completely cut off from the Yagarasu.
