The Skyhook Foundation Gives Kids a Shot that Can’t be Blocked by Assisting Them to Live their Lives Full STEAM ahead! Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made a name for himself with his un-blockable Skyhook shot and rode it to become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. Kareem’s mantra is: “I can do more than shoot a ball through a hoop, my greatest asset is my mind.” The foundation is proud to support Camp Skyhook in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District. The camp provides 4th and 5th grade students an experience outside the four walls of the classroom by providing an engaging STEAM based educational experience in the great outdoors. The program creates a social and emotional connection igniting their curiosity and imagination expanding their boundaries of what is possible.
