When Berlin-based indie developer Luca Beisel first sat down with Dom Schott for "OK COOL trifft" almost a year ago, he was at a pivotal point in his professional life: He already knew then that his roguelite, Rogue Voltage, was a promising game. But how to proceed? Look for a publisher? Assemble a team? Or continue developing everything himself? At the time, all of these questions remained unanswered during his conversation with Dom Schott.
Now, Rogue Voltage has been released on Steam and seems to have successfully found its audience. It's a good time, therefore, to look back on the past few months in the indie developer's life and learn about the decisions Luca Beisel made at each stage – and why.
