How to Post Photos on TikTok PC
TikTok is primarily a video platform, but you can post still photos from your computer—they'll be converted into short video clips or carousel slideshows. This guide covers both single photos and multi-photo carousel posts using TikTok Studio on desktop .
What's in the video:
Option 1: Single Photo Slideshow
Go to tiktok.com and log in
Click the cloud icon → "Upload" (or go to TikTok Studio → Upload)
Drag and drop your photo, or click to browse your computer
Supported formats: JPG, PNG (JPEG recommended)
TikTok will convert it into a short video clip
Customize duration, add music, text, or effects
Write a caption, add hashtags, adjust privacy settings
Click "Post" or "Schedule"
Option 2: Carousel (Multi-Photo Post)
Upload up to 35 photos at once
Rearrange photos by dragging them
Add music (TikTok may auto-add recommended audio)
Post or schedule like normal
Using Third-Party Editors (For Better Control)
Use CapCut, Canva, or InShot to create a photo slideshow with transitions
Export as video (MP4)
Upload the finished video to TikTok via desktop
Important Notes:
TikTok Desktop does not have a direct "photo post" option—photos are converted to video
Photo carousels are supported on desktop
Scheduled posts cannot be edited once set
Photos must be under 20 MB (max 1080 x 1920 or 1920 x 1080 pixels)
