Arceus Arrives in August for
Welcome back, Pokémon Trainers! It's time again for a weekly news update video!
Once again, I've got some Pokémon TCG booster packs to open up! This week will be Roaring Skies and Ancient Origins, with the code cards (as always) going out to some lucky viewers. I'll open up the boosters near the end of the video, and give you viewers the Question of the Day for you to respond to. Leave your response in a comment down below using the hashtag #QOTD, and you'll be entered into the running to receive one of the code cards (chosen randomly) when I do the drawing this coming Sunday, August 14th.
Continuing the year-long #Pokemon20 celebration, Arceus, the Alpha Pokémon, is in the spotlight for the month of August! At participating GameStop stores in the US and EBGames in Canada, you can pick up a code card to download your very own copy of Arceus into your Gen 6 Pokémon games. Also exclusively available at GameStop and EBGames is an 8" crushed velvet plush Arceus, plus a 2" Arceus figure with a Master Ball. The Pokémon TCG Mythical Pokémon Collection: Arceus is currently available as well, which contains a special foil promo Arceus card, two Generations booster packs, an Arceus collector pin, and a Pokémon TCG Online code card to unlock this collection (minus the pin, but including an Arceus deck box and card sleeves) in the online game. I currently hold a copy of the Arceus TCG collection, which I'll be doing an unboxing and code card giveaway if/when we hit 800 subscribers to the channel before the next Mythical Pokémon Collection is released.
Two Special Stages are on the go in Pokémon Shuffle right now, ending next Tuesday, August 16th. The legendary Unovan dragon Reshiram is available in a standard encounter, and the mysterious Ash-Greninja is available in a timed battle. Both of these Pokémon may drop their respective Skill Booster items if you capture them and defeat them again on a subsequent attempt.
The Pokémon World Championships are just a couple weeks away! Being held the weekend of August 19th to 21st in San Francisco, California, the competition this year boasts a whopping prize pool in excess of $500,000 for the best Trainers throughout the entire world. During the event, head over to Pokemon.com/live to check out all the coverage on their four separate live streams, each one focusing on either general event coverage, ORAS battles, TCG matches, and Pokkén Tournament. I'll be watching as much of this coverage as I can, and I hope to do a fair share of live Tweeting and end-of-day video recaps of the highlights as well.

The results of the Sinnoh Classic online competition have been posted! Now you can check out how well you did if you participated in the competition, as well as check out the overview of which Pokémon were most popular, their movesets, abilities, held items, and all that useful information to help you strategize your Pokémon teams in future competitions. Qualified participants can now log into their account on Pokémon Global Link to access their code to receive their copy of Cynthia's Garchomp, as well!

Mark your calendars for the month of October, Trainers, for in honor of the latest Pokémon TCG expansion, Steam Siege, Volcanion is coming to your 3DS! Available through another GameStop/EBGames exclusive code card, the legendary Fire/Water Pokémon Volcanion is indeed going to be getting a special distribution. At level 70, this Pokémon will have the Water Absorb ability, with a moveset of Steam Eruption, Flamethrower, Hydro Pump, and Explosion, and will be holding an Assault Vest. Make sure not to miss out!

Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, originally released on November 10th, 2008, is now available as a Virtual Console title on Wii U. If you haven't played a Pokémon Ranger game before and have been wanting to give it a try, now's your chance!
