Bobcat Depth Check System Episode 4: Sustaining a Grade with Laser Accessory
Bobcat Excavator Product Specialist Tom Connor shares tips and best practies of using the depth check system with a laser beacon. This configuration works best when there is no known grade to set a benchmark from. Follow these steps to achieve and maintain a grade using the depth check system with a laser beacon.
1.) Set up the beacon and measure its height above base grade.
2.) Activate the laser using the dashboard instrumentation.
3.) Establish your target depth.
4.) Lower the excavator blade to plant the machine
4.) Raise or lower your bucket to establish a connection with the laser.
5.) Set the depth check system's benchmark using the dashboard instrumentation after connecting with the beacon.
