Unlocking the Google Pixel 2 XL bootloader
This is how to unlock the Google Pixel 2 XL bootloader.
ADB & Fastboot commands:
adb devices -- check if your device is recognized via ADB drivers
adb reboot bootloader -- reboot your phone to the bootloader
fastboot devices -- check if your device is recognized via ADB drivers while in bootloader
fastboot flashing unlock -- the command to unlock the bootloader
fastboot flashing unlock_critical -- some devices will only unlock with this command

REGARDING THE USB CABLES:
The issue might happen on USB-A to USB-C cables that are low quality or to be more precise, if they lack of a 56kΩ resistor in them which allows the device to communicate with the charger on the other end and request enough power. cables that don't have it might damage your device!!
