Cullen has been struggling with addiction for a while, but has just recently admitted the problem and begun to seek help. Being the spouse of someone struggling with addiction is a HARD road. Through it all, I have learned so much about what I can and cannot change. How do I overcome the struggles that come from being the spouse of an addict? It's lonely and it's a personal journey to discover that it is not your responsibility to change the other person. I have realized that I cannot control or change his addiction, but I CAN control what I allow into my environment. When we start focusing on what we CAN control, we can make real change and ensure we are in the safest and healthiest place possible.
