'Turning Teeth' - Original Demo with Sheet Music
When we set out to make the song ‘Turning Teeth’ for the film ‘Under the Silver Lake’, we pitched the idea of just sending sheet music to the recording band, the Silversun Pickups. It turns out we had a bit of a miscommunication about their creative process, but nevertheless they did a great job distilling the song down to a simpler, more accessible form while still maintaining some of its original essence, and giving it a bit of their own edge.
I’m still fond of the original vision of what the song could be though, and thought it would be interesting to share.
