Did you know you can get from Raleigh to Iceland on a 6 hour direct flight with Icelandair? 👀

I’ve been to Iceland in the summer and winter and you really can’t go wrong either way! Here are some can’t-miss activities for when you visit (SAVE for later) ⤵️

SUMMER
🐧 Look for puffins - Seeing puffins in Borgarfjordur Eystri is a core memory I will never forget. About 10,000 pairs of puffins nest here every summer!
☀️ Experience the midnight sun - From mid-May to late July, the days are extra long with almost continuous daylight in June. Late-night adventures can offer amazing lighting and less people!

WINTER
🧊 Go on an ice cave tour - I did an ice cave tour at Vatnajökull glacier with Local Guide and it was the coolest experience!
🌌 Watch for the Northern Lights - September through March is the best timeframe for seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland. Download the My Aurora app to check the Aurora forecast!

YEAR-ROUND
👙 Soak in hot springs - Of all the spots I’ve visited, my favorites are Hrunalaug, Hvammsvik, and Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River.
✨ Visit epic waterfalls - There are SO MANY waterfalls in Iceland. It blows my mind! No matter when you visit, you must stop by at least a few! Some of the most iconic ones include Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Svartifoss, Gullfoss, and Kirkjufellsfoss.

Have you been to Iceland? If not, it’s worth adding to your bucket list 🇮🇸
