SR-25:
The SR-25 is a semi-automatic rifle manufactured in 1990. Eugene Stoner designed this sniper rifle, and the manufacturer was Knight’s Armament Company.
Eugene Stoner, is regarded by some historians as one of the most successful firearms designers of the 20th century.
This semi-automatic sniper rifle has a direct impingement gas system, and uses a rotating bolt.
The U.S. Navy spearheaded first military purchase in the early 1990s. The first operational deployment, and use of the SR-25 sniper rifle was with U.S Navy SEAL snipers, supporting operations in Somalia in 1993.
It was used in Afghanistan War, Iraq War and 2006 East Timorese Crisis. The gun is highly effective at long ranges and known to be very rugged.
BARRETT M107A1
In January 2011, the successor of Barrett M107 was announced, the M107A1.
Barrett M107A1 was redesigned from the 50 calibers Barrett M107, with weight in mind.
The M107A1 dropped 2.25 kg or 5lbs in weight, without compromising on its deadly accuracy. In addition to the reduced weight, the M107A1 is designed to be used with a suppressor.
It weighs 12.5 kg (27.4 lbs) unloaded, making it one of the lightest 50 caliber rifles available. With a barrel length of 20 inch, and an overall length of 48 inch, this gun is relatively small for a 50 BMG rifle.
Like other 50 caliber sniper rifles, this weapon can be used take out vehicles as well as personnel up to 2,000 meters away.
MCMILLAN TAC 50
The McMillan Tac-50 sniper rifle is produced in Phoenix, Arizona in the United States by McMillan Firearms Manufacturing.
The Mcmillan TAC 50, also known as “Big Mac”, is a 50-caliber sniper rifle.
The TAC 50 is precision engineered to fire the large 50 BMG cartridge, the largest bullet used for military sniper rifles. Shooting this large round at effective ranges up to 1800 meters, the TAC 50 is often used to take out vehicles as well as personnel.
It is a manually operated, rotary bolt-action rifle.

The Accuracy International AWM, that is Arctic Warfare Magnum is a bolt-action sniper rifle manufactured by Accuracy International.
It is the standard issue sniper rifle of the British Military.
The primary feature of the AWSM is de-icing features via the fluted bolt design. It fires in all weather conditions, every time with extreme accuracy. It uses .338 round, and uses 5 rounds detachable box magazine.
In November 2009, British Army sniper Corporal of Horse (CoH) Craig Harrison, a member of the Household Cavalry, set the current record for longest recorded sniper kill by killing two Taliban machine gunners consecutively, south of Musa Qala in Helmand Province in Afghanistan, at a range of 2475 m (2,707 yd) using it.
CHEYTAC M200 INTERVENTION
The CheyTac Intervention is an American bolt-action sniper rifle manufactured by CheyTac LLC. The CheyTac M200 is the longest-range sniper rifle in the world.
7 round detachable single-stack magazines are used to feed it. It fires specially designed .408 Chey Tac , or .375 Chey Tac custom ammunition.
The cartridge is optimized for accuracy by a balance of the rotational and linear drag, which reduces yaw and precession, and keeps the tip of the projectile pointed along the trajectory.
The system is capable of delivering high accuracy at ranges of up to 2300 m, one of the longest ranges of all modern-day sniper rifles. This sniper weapon comes with a portable advanced ballistic computer, laser rangefinder and weather tracker. The ballistic computer provides all necessary data and calculations for accurate long range firing.
The Intervention holds the world record for best group at a distance, landing 3 bullets within 42 cm at 2122 m.
