Arbor Day on ABC News
On Sunday 24 June 2012, Greening Australia SA held our Arbor Day tree planting event at Breakout Creek Wetland at Lockleys . The day was a great success with over 70 volunteers helping to put 4,500 native plants in the ground on a picture perfect day. City of West Torrens Mayor, John Trainer, and Member for Hindmarsh, Steve Georganas MP, came along to get their hands dirty and show their support for the event. We would like to say a big 'thank you' to thank the City of West Torrens for their support and Community CPS Australia for their generous sponsorship of Arbor Day.
