Aputure Spotlight Mount II - A Worthy Upgrade?
The Aputure Spotlight Mount II brings some meaningful changes to a tool I’ve used regularly for years. In this video, I put the new version to work, compare it with the original Spotlight Mount, and take a closer look at what’s actually changed.
I also tested the 26°, 36°, and 50° lenses at a consistent distance to compare output and projection size, along with how the new system fits into the way I typically use projection attachments on set.
If you’re already using the original Spotlight Mount (or considering adding one to your lighting kit) hopefully this gives you some useful context beyond the spec sheet.
