Step 1: Search up aws.amazon.com
Step 2: Click on Search, and search EC2
Step 3: Click on EC2
Step 4: Scroll down until you can see Launch instance
Step 5: Click on Launch Instance
Step 6: Name your instance, then scroll down
Step 7: Click RedHat, then scroll down
Step 8: Under Instance Type, click on t2.medium
Step 9: Click on create a new key pair
Step 10: Name your key, then click on create a key pair
Step 11: Next to "Network settings"
Step 12: Click on "Allow HTTPS traffic from the internet"
Step 13: Click on "Allow HTTP traffic from the internet" Click on "Edit"
Step 14: Click on "Create security group" then Enter a name
Step 15: Click on "Add security group rule"
Step 16: In the "Port Range" type "8080"
Step 17: Under the "Source Type" Select "Anywhere"
Step 18: Click on Launch Instance
Step 19: The Instance state shows whether its running or not
Step 20: Click on the checkbox to see the Public Ip Address
Step 21: Copy the public ip address of the server
Step 22: Open MobaXTerm
Step 23: Click on "Sessions"
Step 24: Select SSH
Step 25: Paste the Public Ip in the Remote Host
Step 26: Click on specify username
Step 27: Enter your username (Prefferably ec2-user)
Step 28: Click "Advanced SSH settings"
Step 29: Select "Use private key"
Step 30: Click on the documents icon & Select your private key (.pem)
Step 31: Click "Ok" & "Accept"
Step 32: Type "sudo hostnamectl set-hostname Tomcat"
Step 33: Type "sudo su - ec2-user"
Step 34: Type "cd /opt"
Step 35: Type "sudo yum install wget unzip git-all -y"
Step 36: Type "sudo yum install java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel -y"
Step 37: Type "java -version"
Step 38: Type "git --version"
Step 39: Get on the link "https://tomcat.apache.org/download-90..."
Step 40: Right-click the link below the text "Core" titled "zip"
Step 41: Click on "Copy Link"
Step 42: Type "sudo wget link"
Step 43: Type "sudo unzip filename.zip"
Step 44: Type "sudo rm -rf filename.zip"
Step 45: Type "sudo mv filename Tomcat9"
Step 46: Type "sudo chmod 775 -R /opt/Tomcat9"
