The first car you will see tested, is probably the most iconic car of the 80s from Maranello, the Testarossa. Launched in 1984, the Testarossa meaning Read Head In Italian was the replacement of the Berlinetta Boxer / the BB512i. This car became the symbol of the 80's thanks to its product placement on the hit TV show, Miami Vice. This exotic Red Head took a massive step forward in design and layout by placing the radiators on either side of the car behind the door and covering them in the infamous horizontal strakes. this design element made the car famously wide, and inspired generations of supercars to come. Built as a GT, this flat 12 Ferrari was at home on the Autobahn in crossing large stretches highway very quickly. so how does this car stack up on a windy Mountain Road?
The 328 GTS was the last generation and refinement of the beloved 308 series that dated back to 1975. This pininfarina designed beauty came to the market in 1985 and showcased a refined design including body colour front and rear bumpers more horsepower from the flat planed crank V8, improved handling and braking, and a beautifully updated cabin / cockpit. The 328 GTS having a removable targa top was the most popular variant between that and the GTB coupe. built as a sports car in the Ferrari lineup, this car should very much at home in the mountains.
