Unknown Song: “(We Need A) Platinum Record”(?) (video from an alternate universe)
“I found this on a p2p site about a week ago, found it to be pretty catchy. It has a lot of rot to it, so maybe it was from a burned CD or something? I don’t know a lot about this kind of stuff. The slow fade ending makes it seem unfinished, though. It would be cool to get a full transcript of the lyrics, and maybe eventually we’ll find the song. :)”
Decided to hop on the bandwagon of alternate universe lost songs, except with a song that isn’t as well known. Just for fun.
Also, if you’re wondering, the song is called Platinum CD by the duo Baby Giraffes. They’ve been broken up for a long time, but this was included on their collection of b-sides and unfinished work “Brosides!” from around 2010-2011. Note that they did make some songs with weird lyrics that I don’t really support their use of, but they’re no way to directly support both of them.
