Google CEO admits they remove websites from search results
In an interview with Maria Bartiromo, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt admitted that Google manually removes websites from search results, claiming they are 'fake news' and therefore making them hard to find. Schmidt explained that this process is not censorship. Bartiromo said many complain that this makes some legitimate websites harder to find and Schmidt said that the problem will be corrected.
