Behavioral Analysis:
Injury & Recovery: The loss of an eye is likely the result of intraspecific competition (clan dominance fights) or a clash with a lion. The fact that this individual is healthy and carrying food proves its ability to adapt.
Scavenging Success: Hyenas are opportunistic feeders. This individual has successfully secured a food source, demonstrating that physical trauma has not hindered its ability to compete in the food web.
