Highlights: Introduction - Knowledge-Based System (IS4211) - Part 1
This course covers essential topics concerning Knowledge-based systems (KBS). The course introduces fundamental concepts associated with KBS and some of the recognized types of KBS. The course presents the major phases of the knowledge engineering process including knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation and reasoning. The course looks at methodologies designed to support the development of KBS. The course also introduces topics on challenges for KBS. Students will be trained on development and application of KBS.
