In this hands-on Android network forensics lab, I build a controlled rogue Wi-Fi access point on Kali Linux using a custom Bash script and force an Android device to connect via ADB. No root and No third-party apps required. We analyze the connection step-by-step across multiple OSI layers, validating 802.11 wireless association, DHCP IP assignment, ARP table inspection, and live packet capture using tcpdump and Wireshark. Every stage of the Android Wi-Fi connection is verified from both the Linux network interface and Android’s internal Wi-Fi service using advanced adb shell commands.
