Simple Ramadaan tips to keep in mind:
The best time to train & major physical activity is when you feel your energy at its peak. For most people, it could be immediately after Iftaar so it’s ideal to hit the gym post a light Iftar meal. ⏰
It is essential to learn to understand your body. It’s important to push yourself to do more but it’s even more important to know when to stop. Your body needs the rest to recover & perform better.
Keep your training intensity at a moderate. It’s great to set new goals but while fasting, it’s more important to train the entire month than start with high intensity in the beginning and eventually give up. 🏋️♀️
I cannot emphasize enough on the necessity of being hydrated. I know the window to stay hydrated is small but it is important to drink enough water from Iftar to Suhur. You can also additionally add some coconut water to your meals as it’s rich in nutrients.
Lastly, choose your workouts wisely. It’s important to not put your training on hold - you can decrease the days of training but not training is not the way to go. If you’re feeling drained out, try doing more strength training than HIIT 💪
