Fix AutoCAD Version Error: Convert Higher Version Drawing to Lower Version
In this video, I will show you how to save an AutoCAD drawing file from a higher version (like AutoCAD 2024 or 2023) so it can be opened in a lower version (like AutoCAD 2010, 2013, or 2018).
If you try to open a file created in a new AutoCAD version on an old PC, you might get an error. This simple "Save As" trick fixes that compatibility issue instantly!
📌 Steps Covered:
Click on the AutoCAD Icon / File Menu.
Select "Save As" - "Drawing".
In the "Files of type" dropdown, select an older version (e.g., AutoCAD 2010/2013 .dwg).
Save the file.
