New Samsung Security Tool Auto Blocker
Samsung has recently released Auto Blocker, a new security tool for Galaxy smartphones running One UI 6. Auto Blocker consists of three main features:
Block apps from unauthorized sources: This feature prevents users from sideloading apps, which can be a risky practice. Sideloading allows users to install apps from outside of the official Google Play Store, but it also opens them up to the possibility of installing malware. Auto Blocker is turned off by default, but users can enable it in the Settings menu.
Scan apps for malicious activity: Auto Blocker can scan apps for malicious activity, such as malware and adware. This feature is currently unavailable on US carrier models, but it is expected to be rolled out in the future.

Auto Blocker is rolling out to all Galaxy devices compatible with One UI 6, including the Galaxy S23 series, S22 series, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5.
In addition to the features listed above, Auto Blocker may also include some hidden features. For example, the announcement image shows an option to prevent voice phishing attacks.
