NATO's largest exercise in Poland: Defense of the Suwalki Gap
For the first time outside the United States, the American Patriot system is participating in NATO exercises in Eastern Europe. The Iron Defender maneuvers, involving 30,000 troops, demonstrate a high level of allied cohesion and test the interoperability of all branches of the armed forces, including the integration of Ukrainian military expertise. The training ground, just 100 kilometers from the Suwalki Gap, is becoming a key point in the defense of the Baltic Sea.
