System Requirements for ODBC/Smart Reporting
• VIP must be mapped to a drive letter under computer e.g. V:\ and not to a server name e.g. \\server-name
– No spaces or special characters in the server name or sub-folders
• Local admin rights on the C:\ and VIP directory. When using a Remote Desktop, profile logging in needs to have local admin rights on both C:\ and VIP directory
• Operating System: Windows 7 (exiting 2020), 8 and 10 (32 or 64-bit)
• Reporting tool: Minimum Office 2010, Professional – activated and installed with all features and add-ins running from this computer (32- bit)
• Anti-Virus, Firewalls and Windows Defender must exclude the VIP directory as this can remove and restrict access to files
• .NET Frameworks:

Issue Description:
The error has to do with company selections and when using SMART the office package
bit installed might be incorrect
Solution ODBC:
*Open VIP and log into a company.
Click on Utilities - VIP ODBC Configuration.
Click on permissions.
Start with the 1st company - CLICK on the username (person running the report).
Make sure all the permission blocks are ticked
Do this for all the companies (make sure to click on the user name every time as it defaults to the top name, which might not be the user having the problem).
Once done, apply changes.
Open you report and make sure the correct companies which the user has access to is selected or inserted.
Test report.
