Tutorial for how to set your softmodded Xbox to boot to CoinOPS 5, to FTP into your Xbox from within CoinOPS, and to access the UnleashX dashboard from within CoinOPS.

This tutorial will show you how to boot your softmodded Xbox directly to CoinOPS. This will work on CoinOPS5 lite and the full version. It also shows how to install a dashboard shortcut in your CoinOPS settings menu which allows you to get to your Unleash X dash from within CoinOPS. Additionally, this will show you how to ftp into your xbox from within CoinOPS. This is a video version of another screen shot tutorial (linked below) with some of what I have learned from other tutorials/readmes. If there are way that I can improve the tutorial or another subject that would be helpful to be covered in a new tutorial , please let me know :)

The steps you take are
1) FTP into your xbox (you can not turn your xbox off until you finish)
2) copy your UnleashX default.xbe file to your coinops/dashboard folder
3) create a backup dash folder
4) move your UnleashX default.xbe file to your backupdash folder
5) create a new default.xbe file mapped to where your coinops folder is on your xbox
6) FTP the new default.xbe file to your xbox (into the E/dashboard folder)

Hardware you need
A softmodded Xbox with CoinOPS lite or full installed.

Software needed
A program that allows you to FTP into your xbox
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard Internet protocol that is used to transfer files between computers. In this case between your PC and your xbox.
I use flash fxp (there are other programs that do this too)

xbe shortcut maker
It is software that creates xbe files for use on your xbox. This is located in the readme folder of CoinOPS 5 full and is also downloadable from the link below.

THIS MAY BRICK YOUR XBOX, so please take some precautions, and do not blame me it something goes wrong :/

Before you attempt this you should backup your eeprom onto your PC so that you can recover your HDD if something goes awry. Additionally, if you are putting the shortcut on a larger HDD and you still have the original stock HDD locked then you can use the stock HDD to get into your xbox and reclone your larger HDD if something goes wrong. You can also try Heimdall's Xbox engineering disk to fix a problem (downloadable from here). http://cloudstor.es/f/Kk/
