How to backup, and restore, all projects, in davinci resolve?
This is useful, to transfer projects, from one computer to another, or restore projects, in case of a computer crash.
Davinci resolve, stores project files, in a central database on the computer, which makes it easier, to backup, and restore. To backup, click on the details button, I, and Backup. Choose, where to save, the backup file, give a name, and hit save. I prefer, keeping Year, Month and Day in the filename, as I can easily find the, right backup, later, when I want to restore.
To restore, click on Import button, and choose, the backup file, Resolve, will ask for a new name, for you project library, I say, My Projects, and then, choose a directory, where resolve, can store the project database. I create, a new folder, called, Resolve Projects, and click, select folder button, and hit create. Click Restore and resolve will restore the projects. Make sure, you backup, projects once in a while, and store it, on an external hard-drive, or cloud, so that you can bring back the projects, in case, of an unforeseen event.
