AI Sky Replacement is one of the new features in the upcoming Luminar 4. In this video I will show you my method for creating the skies to use in your own images.
I say my method as I’m sure there will be lots of other methods that yield great results as well. This way just works best for me and my images :) and I hope it helps you as well.
I use Luminar as a plugin to Photoshop for my workflow BUT if you don’t use Photoshop at all the same method principals can be applied using Luminar.
1: Load your sky image into Luminar
2: Crop your image
3: Apply a slight gradient (about a 10th of the way into the bottom of your image) use either a lighten gradient or a mid grey tonal one
4: Save your image into a folder ready for use in your images :)
**NOTE: The user interface is not locked down yet and will change. The user interface shown in this video is for Beta testing purposes**
Luminar 4 available later this year looks like it's going to be a remarkable piece of software for both amateurs and professionals alike.
Hope this demo video whets your appetite for the upcoming software.
enjoy :)
