Ballistic coefficient
Ballistic coefficients are a measure of the ability of objects to overcome air resistance in mid-flight.
In general, the higher the number, the lower the projectile’s drag (less negative acceleration), and the better the bullet will travel through the air.
In ballistics, the ballistic coefficient (BC, Cb) of a body is a measure of its ability to overcome air resistance in flight.
It is inversely proportional to negative acceleration: higher numbers indicate less negative acceleration—the drag on the body is smaller than its mass.
Sports pills have a BC range from 0.12 to a little over 1.00.
The higher the BC, the better the bullet’s all-around ballistic performance.
