Our journey begins in November 2008, a time before 1080p was king. This data, pulled from millions of active PC users, gives us an incredible snapshot of what people were actually using. And what we find might surprise you!
In late 2008, two resolutions reigned supreme: 1024x768 and 1280x1024. Combined, they accounted for over half of all displays! These were the workhorses of the 4:3 and 5:4 aspect ratio era.
