Open System Firmware in practice Experiences deploying LinuxBoot and coreboot at Google
I will review the results of our four year effort to deploy, first, LinuxBoot; and, second, coreboot, in Google data centers, as part of our Open System Firmware work. LinuxBoot is in use today at scale and coreboot is coming. I will talk about why we have done this work and the advantages that the Open Compute Platform Open System Firmware standard provides.
