2011 Spiritual Plague Christmas song, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"
Lyrics:
Verse 1
God rest ye merry gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from satan's power
When we were gone astray
Chorus
Oh tidings of comfort and joy
comfort and joy
oh tidings of comfort and joy
of comfort and joy (this line for 1st chorus only)
Verse 2
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed angel came
And unto certain shepherds brought
Tidings of the same
How that in Bethlehem was born
the Son of God by name
Bridge
He came to the earth just to wash away
Every mistake that we ever made
To hang on a cross all our debts to pay
for all who believe (bridge repeat)
for all who believe
End
God rest ye merry gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas day
