Instagram slapped an "AI Info" label on one of my videos because of a ChatGPT-generated logo I used. So, I decided to just learn how to animate my own logo by hand, despite having zero animation or logo design experience.

Turns out you don't need much. In this video I show you exactly how I built a frame by frame 2D animated logo in under 10 minutes using ChatGPT, Procreate, an iPad, and Apple Pencil. The trick that makes it doable is something I'm calling "reverse-erasing", you draw the final frame once, then erase your way backward instead of drawing each frame from scratch. Sounds backwards (pun intended), but it's genuinely the easiest way for a beginner to get smooth hand-drawn animation without redrawing the same thing a dozen times.

Here's what I cover:

Why Instagram flags AI-generated assets, and why hand-drawing your own gets around it
Prompting ChatGPT for separated background/foreground PNG layers so they're easy to work with
Setting up Procreate's Animation Assist, canvas settings, and onion skin opacity so you can actually track your frames
The reverse-erasing hack itself, step by step
Holding your final frame so the logo doesn't just vanish the second the loop ends
Exporting the finished animation as an MP4 or animated PNG
