In this video, SDSU Digital Humanities Center Assistant Cathy Qiu shows you how to get started with Fontforge and introduces you to the considerations needed when creating a font. You’ll learn about the Fontforge software and interface, as well as how to import vector graphics from other softwares like Illustrator or Inkscape. This tutorial will also show how to add extra glyphs and how to use them in Adobe Photoshop.This tutorial is intended for everyone and all skill levels, regardless of prior knowledge or familiarity with Fontforge.
