Talk1
Speaker: Dom Clark
Talk Title: Fetching Discord Events with 11ty & Netlify
Abstract: Finding ways to grow the discoverability of your community can be tough. Today we'll learn how to pull Discord's scheduled events to a page for folks to be able to see what your community is up to and get involved right away! We'll use 11ty & Netlify to help us build and ship it live while learning things like Nunjucks, Nunjucks Macros, and Netlify On-Demand Builders.
Talk2
Speaker: Tessa Mero
Talk Title: Leading Developer Relations
Abstract: If you are hired to lead a developer relations team, whether you are a Head of or a VP of a department, and this is your first time in a
bigger role, this talk is for you. I will be sharing my knowledge and
resources I've learned over my time and share what you should be doing
during your first 90 days with your new role. My goal is to make your
position more efficient and impactful in the shortest period of time.
Talk3
Speaker: Burke Holland
Talk Title: How we grew our YouTube subscribers by 900% using TikTok
Abstract: TikTok? Surely, you can't be serious. Oh I am, and I'll spare you the rest of that Airplane reference. TikTok is not just dances and lip syncing (although...that is a lot of it), it's an entirely new medium to engage with developers. The audience skews far younger and the demographics are much different than what you can reach on Twitter and YouTube. Even better, a good TikTok account will deliver SERIOUS impact that you can measure. How does it work? In this session, I'll share everything we've learned from running the VS Code TikTok account and how we used TikTok to grow our YouTube channel from 25K to 225K subscribers in only 12 months.
