EVERYDAYMAN: A Fantasy Tokusatsu Parody
A new tokusatsu hero arises. Everydayman!
We present to you Yoko Higuchi's tokusatsu parody film that was shot in 2 days in Tokyo while Yoko was attending the 2022 Short Shorts Film Festival. The short lovingly pays tribute to the tokusatsu shows of Japan from the 1960's and 1970's (i.e. "Ultraman", "Kamen Rider"). "EVERYDAYMAN: A Fantasy Tokusatsu Parody" tells the story of a man who imagines himself as a hero whenever he faces the injustices of life only to find himself fighting against his own anxieties. The film was shot with Chester Law and stars Nao Yamakasi as the titular hero along with Luca Bernardi and Alexandria Kayy. It's a true labor of love and we at Resistance Pictures hope you all enjoy our new film!
