Hi, I’m Jim Colt with MaverickCNC, we’re going to talk about a few little things that can help improve the operation of your system.

Now one of the first things I always run into, in my own shop, is I go out to the system, I haven’t run it, for maybe the weekend, and I turn on the power supply, throw some new consumables in, get ready to cut and I realize it won’t accept a start signal. Go back to the power supply and whenever you see this little amber light on, that means there is an error code. Look at the digital screen and in this case we have a 0-50 error code, so the error code is like a check engine light in your car, it’s telling you there’s something wrong, obviously.

In a lot of cases, those of us that don’t really spend time with the manual won’t know that much about it but if you flip through the manual and go into the maintenance section, all of the error codes that will show up are listed, they do give you a pretty good idea of what’s going on and on the Maverick machine you will see an error code list, right behind the CNC screen and that will give you a good point.

It won’t always tell you what the problem is but in this case, it’s a 0-50 and I just changed the consumables in the torch and for safety reasons, the power supply shuts itself down and won’t allow it to start until new consumables are in, the cap is screwed properly on and you go reach around to the back of the power supply and reset the power. Now the error codes gone and we’re ready to cut.
