A deviated septum is a condition where the wall of cartilage and bone that divides the inside of your nose (called the nasal septum) is off-center or crooked.
In simpler terms: Imagine your nose is divided into two halves. In a deviated septum, this dividing wall is not straight, but rather bent or shifted to one side.
