How to get Bybit Testnet API keys!
✅ Step-by-Step Guide
1. Create a Testnet Account: The testnet requires its own registration. Go to testnet.bybit.com and sign up using your email address. You cannot use your main Bybit account credentials here.
2. Navigate to API Management: After logging into the testnet, click on your profile icon in the top-right corner. From the dropdown menu, select API Management to access the key creation page.
3. Generate a New Key: Click the "Create New Key" button to begin the setup.
4. Configure Key Settings: You will be prompted to set up the key's permissions.
Key Type: You can choose a "System-generated API Key" or an "API Key with IP whitelist" for enhanced security.
Permissions: Select the appropriate permissions for your application. For a trading bot, you will typically need at least Read and Trade permissions.
5. Save Your Credentials: After clicking submit, a pop-up will display your API Key and API Secret.
⚠️ Critical: The API Secret is shown only once. Copy both keys and store them in a secure location immediately. If you lose the secret, you will have to generate a new key.
