i’m tired of trying to love my body,
i’m tired of feeling like a failure when i look in the mirror and a critique inevitably slips my tongue,
i’m tired of feeling like a liar pretending i think it’s beautiful just the way it is,
i’m tired of feeling resentful working out and wishing it away,
i don’t want to love my body,
i don’t want to hate it either,
i don’t want to be at war with my flesh and bones,
i don’t want to be at war with my home,
i just want my body to be.
