It is very important to prevent hospital delirium because there are no treatments to cure the condition. The ACE team (Acute Care for the Elderly) provides intensive team-based review of older adults when they are admitted to the hospital. The team makes recommendations to help ensure the patient does not develop delirium in the hospital.
