Something else to watch out for on Canberra's bike paths...
I noticed movement across the path as I approach the crest of the hill...it was a roo crossing to the right...it then crossed back again to the left so I was wary of it...you can get a feel for its speed as it bounds along next to the path and then crosses back again...I was doing about 35kph (I normally go faster but was ready to stop)...
