We hear you—and that’s why we build the Honda CRF450RX, with all the power, handling and refinement of our dominant CRF450R MX’er, but fine-tuned for enduro use. With features like a bigger fuel tank, a sidestand, an 18-inch rear wheel, and special suspension settings. Plus all the updates we’ve given our CRF450R, like Honda Selectable Torque Control, a new battery box that relocates the battery by 28mm for a lower center of gravity, new rear brake pads last longer and improve stopping power, and even new graphics.
ENGINEERING Features
Honda SELECTABLE TORQUE CONTROL (HSTC)
You can choose from one of three settings to perfectly dial your bike in depending on how much traction is available.
ENGINE MODE SELECT BUTTON
Choose between Standard, Smooth and Aggressive (depending on track conditions) with a push of your thumb.
HRC LAUNCH CONTROL
Push the button to select the mode, hold the throttle open, release the clutch, and launch into the first turn with a big advantage!
NEW REAR BRAKE PADS
This year we changed the pads so they’ll last longer and give you even more stopping power—a real win/win to help you win.
CONVENIENCE Features
ELECTRIC START
By ditching the kickstarter entirely, our engineers can make the CRF450RX lighter. Electric starters and lithium-ion batteries are so light now and so good that putting them on a bike like this is a win/win combination.
PERFORMANCE Features
DOWNDRAFT FUEL INJECTION
Featuring a downdraft intake tract and FI body to help increase both power and fuel-metering precision, offers such explosive power and massive torque, especially off line for the critical first 100 feet to the first turn.
TITANIUM INTAKE VALVES
Lightweight titanium intake valves cut down on reciprocating mass and permit the use of smaller valve springs, reducing overall engine height.
DOUBLE-SPRAY INJECTOR SETTINGS
The fuel-injection system sprays twice per intake cycle. That helps increase fuel atomization without adding the weight or complexity of a second injector.
13:5:1 COMPRESSION RATIO
Featureing a refined squish area that helps boost compression to an impressive 13.5:1, meaning more power!
CYLINDER HEAD LAYOUT
Using our latest finger-follower rocker design, the Unicam cylinder head remains one of the most efficient in the off-road world.
HANDLING Features
DUNLOP GEOMAX TIRES
The tires are specially designed for enduro use. The AT81 tires are spec’d at 90/90-21 for the front and 120/90-18 for the rear.
RELOCATED BATTERY/BATTERY BOX
For 2020, we designed a new battery box that moves the battery 28mm lower and helping with the overall center of gravity, benefiting responsive handling.
SHOWA® SPRING FORK
The 49mm fork is specially tuned and features a conventional spring design that helps increase the front-suspension precision, handling and feel.
SWINGARM
The swingarm uses a special fabrication technique that lets us fine-tune the flex to work with the chassis and give you better rear traction and cornering precision.
