A Brand New Start: Short #2- Drift Away

Storyline:
Star and Marco begin to notice Varian constantly working in his lab, trying to figure the dreams he keeps having about Rapunzel, the black rocks, and the moonstone.
Star and Marco finally confront Varian on the topic, wondering what he's doing, since he hasn't told them or any of his friends about his dreams. Varian tells them he doesn't want to talk about but agrees to tell them about his backstory, feeling it relates/connects to his dreams.
Varian tells Star and Marco about Rapunzel failing to keep her promise and how he waited for weeks for her to come by and see him and show she cared, but after a month Varian finally lost patience and after finding his father's scroll he uses Rapunzel to get into the vault for the sundrop flower. After realizing Rapunzel is now the sundrop, he tells of how he kidnapped the queen to lure Rapunzel to him.
Once his final attempt failed he tried to get revenge and was defeated by Rapunzel and the rocks and sent to prison.
After being put in Lavender's care, he eventually overhears Rapunzel has left on her journey with Eugene, Cassandra, and Hookfoot. Causing Varian to feel left behind again, but also guilty.
During the tragedy, Lavender has Varian stay at Twilight's Friendship School with Terra, where he meets his new friends.
At the end of the story, Star and Marco comfort Varian and tell him that things can be better now that they're friends. Varian thanks them for helping him feel better, while Star and Marco still try to get Varian to open up about what he's been doing. Varian tells them that he's fine, but Star and Marco know he isn't.
Note:
This story takes place during Rapunzel's journey and after season 4 of Star. The events of season 4 are different here, Star still had the idea to destroy magic but after help from Marco and her friends she calms down and thinks of another solution.
If you're wondering why Varian isn't telling his friends the truth, it's because he still has trust issues and has trouble trusting them with personal issues/secrets, I'll go more into this in episode 4.
